Welcome back to This Week in CPG, folks. Here’s what we’re covering this morning:
Unilever divests Graze 👋
French Bloom acquires estate 🍷

Mergers & Acquisitions
Unilever is selling UK-based snack brand Graze for an undisclosed sum. The buyer is Katjes International, a German confectionery firm. For Unilever, the divestment enables them to focus on core food assets like Hellmann’s and Knorr. For Katjes International, the acquisition helps the company diversify beyond its core confectionery business and tap into a more on-trend category (better-for-you snacking). Unilever
Plant-based protein bar brand TRUBAR has been acquired by Turkish consumer goods firm ETİ Gıda for $201M CAD (around $140M USD). Founded in 2019 by Erica Groussman, TRUBAR retails at more than 15,000 doors across North America and sales are expected to exceed $100M in 2026. With brands like IQBAR and BUILT reaching maturity, I bet we’ll see more bar deals in early ‘26. Stack3d
French Bloom, a leading non-alcoholic sparkling wine brand, purchased an estate in Limoux as the company vertically integrates. The estate includes 25 hectares of vineyard land and will be fully operational by September 2026. LVMH took a minority stake in French Bloom in 2024. PR Newswire
Horizon Family Brands, a better-for-you dairy company, has acquired Maple Hill Creamery for an undisclosed sum. Maple Hill is a producer of 100% grass-fed organic dairy products. Horizon Family Brands was formed when Platinum Equity purchased Horizon Organic and Wallaby Organic from Danone in early 2024. PR Newswire
Fundraising
Dos Hombres, the fast-growing mezcal brand co-founded by Aaron Paul and Bryan Cranston, scored $15M in growth equity funding. The company will use the funding to accelerate distribution and launch new products in 2026. Mezcal is thriving and attracting attention from investors and acquirers alike. More info at the link. French fragrance brand BDK Parfums secured a strategic investment from LVMH. BDK was founded by David Benedek in 2016 and offers a wide variety of fragrance products. The company opened its first flagship store in early 2024 and intends to double down on retail in the near term. LVMH made the investment via its corporate venture arm, LVMH Luxury Ventures. WWD
Borough Broth, a British organic bone broth brand, secured £7.5M in funding from Piper, a consumer-focused investment firm. Ros Heathcote launched Borough Broth in 2015 with just £6,000 in cash. Today, Borough Broth does north of £10M in annual revenue and the company has raised less than £1M in angel funding. The company expects revenue to hit £20M in 2026. Piper
Non-alcoholic beverage brand Hiyo landed an equity investment from Live Nation. In addition to the investment, Hiyo will be available at select Live Nation venues moving forward. Athletech News
