  • Private equity firm BD-Capital is acquiring Science in Sport for just over £82M. Science in Sport is a London-based performance nutrition company that also owns PhD Nutrition. BD-Capital, which was co-founded by former partners at Advent International, acquired Dutch supplements maker Bonusan in 2023. Morningstar

  • Italian stove-top coffee maker Bialetti is being acquired by NUO Capital, a Chinese investment firm. NUO is paying €53M for just over 78% of Bialetti. Even though there are a million stove-top coffee makers, 90% of Italian households own a Bialetti. The Guardian

  • Popular YouTuber Jaren Smith invested in Gamer Supps, a gamer-centric purveyor of nutritonal supplements. Jaren Smith is known to the world as SMii7Y and has over 13 million followers across social platforms. PR Newswire

  • African spirits group Spearhead Spirits secured a multi-million dollar investment from Pronghorn. Spearhead was founded in 2021 and their portfolio includes Bayab Gin, Sango African Agave, Vusa Vodka, and Mansas Whisky. The Spirits Business

  • Swiss biotech company Timeline released its first gummy product — Longevity Gummies. The gummies contain Urolithin A which is clinically proven to enhance muscle health and improve mitochondrial function. Bullish. The minimalist packaging works pretty well, too. Business Wire

  • Om Mushroom Superfood worked with BexBrands to refresh its brand identity. The end result is a considerable improvement. Om also just launched its gummies range at 700+ Target stores. Instagram

  • Fragrance brand Boy Smells revealed a new brand identity and loyal customers aren’t exactly pleased. The new look is a little homogeneous. According to Puck, the brand refresh was done at the behest of Sephora. Beauty Independent

  • Functional beverage brand Magic Mind released two new shots: Magic Mind FREE and Magic Mind MAXX. Magic Mind FREE is a stimulant-free mental performance shot, while Magic Mind MAXX is boosted with nootropics and 165mg of time-released caffeine.
