Mergers & Acquisitions 

  • AriZona Beverages has acquired a manufacturing facility in Anaheim from Manna Beverages. The facility features five production lines and an annual capacity of nearly 70 million cases. The acquisition is poised to save a lot of local jobs in Anaheim. LinkedIn

  • Nestlé is working with Morgan Stanley on a possible sale of Blue Bottle Coffee. Nestlé acquired a majority stake in the Bay Area coffee icon in 2017 at a valuation around $700M. Reuters

  • Olowo-n’djo Tchala, the founder of clean personal care brand Alaffia, has bought the brand back for an undisclosed sum. The previous owners will retain a minority stake in the business. Tchala stepped away from Alaffia in 2022 due to a disagreement with investors, but now he’s back at the helm. Beauty Independent

Fundraising

  • Ripple Foods, a leading purveyor of high-protein and allergen-free plant-based milks, secured $17M in funding from Material Impact and Rich Products Ventures. Existing investors S2G Ventures, Prelude Ventures, Fall Line Capital, and others also participated in the round. Ripple also announced that General Mills veteran Becky O’Grady is taking the helm as CEO. Prior to joining Ripple Foods, O’Grady served as President of Global Häagen-Dazs and Chief Marketing Officer for International at General Mills. PR Newswire

  • IRIS Ventures led a $15M investment in Innerskin, a French provider of noninvasive skincare treatments. Innerskin has scaled to 19 locations across France in just three years. The company will use the funding to expand across Europe and launch a branded line of skin & body care products. WWD

  • Tiny Wins is a new brand in the children’s nutrition category. The company launched with two nutrition blends that dissolve invisibly into meals and snacks. One blend is intended for savory meals while the other is for sweet meals. Each scoop delivers at least 50% of a child's most essential daily vitamins and minerals. LinkedIn

  • The Skinny Confidential launched a line of single-use face towels. The towels are made with sustainable bamboo and feature a smooth side and a textured side for exfoliation.   • Rare Beauty is closing out 2025 with a slew of new products. The fast-growing beauty brand is releasing a hydrating body mousse, a body & hair mist, and a handful other products. Instagram

  • MaryRuth Organics is getting into the creatine game with a new line of creatine gummies. One flavor, Tangerine Citrus, is available and each gummy contains 1g of creatine. Stack3d

Food, Beverage, and Alcohol

  • Mike’s Hot Honey expanded into the beverage space with Mike’s Hot Honey Syrup. The new product enables baristas, bartenders, and others to add a spicy kick to any beverage with ease. This is a really smart extension for the brand. NOSH

  • Speaking of hot honey…Beekeeper Coffee just released a Hot Honey Cold Brew Latte. The packaging is excellent and the new flavor is available exclusively via Gopuff. Beekeeper Coffee has been on a roll lately (especially with their Horchata Latte). Twitter

  • Dublin-based Cobblestone Brands launched a canned Irish coffee brand called Irished Up. The product is formulated with cold brew coffee and Irish single malt whisky. The can itself looks pretty good too. The Spirits Business

  • London-based beverage brand Authentic Brew officially launched around a week ago. Instead of caffeine, the functional energy drink brand is powered by mushrooms, seaweed, fermented rhodiola, L-Theanine, ginseng, and a number of other active ingredients. Authentic Brew

  • Spirits of Virtue, a Scottish non-alcoholic spirits producer, is opening a 30,000-square-foot production facility in Arkansas. The company owns a variety of non-alc spirits brands like Glen Dochus, USKO, Pearsons Botanicals, and 270º Botanicals. BevNET

  • Lost & Found Energy dropped a new flavor, Sour Gummy Bear, that contains a whopping 300mg of caffeine. I can barely handle Celsius Essentials which contains 270mg of caffeine per can, so this might put someone in the ground. Instagram

  • Lucky Energy just named former OLIPOP and Heineken exec Ray Faust as its new Chief Commercial Officer. Lucky Energy closed a $25M funding round led by Paine Schwartz in November to support its nationwide retail push. LinkedIn
